Jasmine started possessing her after 'spin the bottle, but i personally headcanon she started influencing cordy after 'birthday', because that's (roughly) when cordelia’s characterization starts to get wonky. We know in s4 that jasmine is controlling. At what point was cordelia replaced by jasmine

Skip appeared to be facilitating the process, so was cordelia ever demonized by skip For instance, when cordelia saw a vision of herself in the season 3 finale, was that jasmine interference If so, what was the reason of that

So, she never actually became a higher power

Who was the cordelia in the clouds during the lorne casino episode? But yeah what really brings it down for me are these reaction shots. Or warn team angel somehow Instead jasmine was just a random baddy that happened to be extra powerful, i guess

And she got past the higher powers somehow in order to possess cordelia S4 in general didn’t make much sense to me, but especially the whole jasmine storyline Cordelia’s character was done so dirty, imo. Can someone explain the whole cordelia/highpower/jasmine mess of a plot

I know charisma carpenter's pregnancy messed with their original plans or whatever, but still i don't get it

Granted i've only seen it once, but i expected on this rewatch to be able to see signs that cordelia wasn't cordelia earlier on. After giving birth to jasmine, cordelia falls into a coma and only makes one more appearance in the show during the show's final season I have not specifically read whether or not the birth of her own child led. The botched spell only gave jasmine access to cordelia's old memories so she could play the part of being cordelia

Jasmine couldn't really grow in power until after the thing with connor, and the inner jasmine grew until it broke free with help of the blood sacrifice. It doesn't fit with cordelia's character because it wasn't cordelia Cordelia was the container, but the brains behind the operation belonged to jasmine That being said i think it was a terrible, disgusting, misogynistic storyline, and no matter what the explanation, i wish the writers had never done it.

So this might be a bit controversial, and i fully acknowledge that the storyline we got for cordelia was still horrible and utterly incomprehensible, but i think that ultimately, the storyline of jasmine's possession ultimately saved cordelia from a fate that might not be as outwardly degrading, but would have been a bit worse for her character overall, or in other words, this character was.

Aka the powers that sit on their behinds, lol Then, once “birthday” occurs is jasmine fully controlling all the visions
